A BRIEF REVIEW ON HERBAL HAIR GEL IT” S FORMULATION AND EVALUATION PARAMETERS

ABSTRACT
Herbal hair gels are synthetic free products that promote hair health. It promotes nourishment to the scalp,
moisturizes hair, reduces hair fall, regulates growth, and addresses scalp issues like dandruff. Herbal gels enhance
growth of hair an d are suitable for various hair types. Additionally, they focus on using environmentally
sustainable, biodegradable ingredients. The formulation was evaluated for pH, viscosity, spread ability, washability,
stability studies, and microbial load, all of whi ch met acceptable cosmetic standards. The results indicate that the
herbal hair gel offers effective styling properties along with added therapeutic benefits, making it a promising and
safe alternative to conventional chemical based hair gels. This review includes some herbal drugs used to formulate
the hair gel for its excellent hair nourishing and conditioning activity. In nature various herbs are there which can
activate hair growth and effectively decrease certain scalp infections. As by choosing suitab le gelling agents the
herbal drugs can be formulated and evaluated for its consistency, Viscosity, pH, spreadibility and zone of inhibition.
