Abstract

AYURVEDIC APPROACH IN THE MANAGEMENT OF COLD AGGLUTININ DISEASE: A CASE REPORT OF A LIFE-RESTORING OUTCOME

ABSTRACT

Cold Agglutinin Disease (CAD) is a rare autoimmune hemolytic anemia typically managed through immunosuppressants or chemotherapy. However, conventional management often yields partial responses and presents significant side effects. This case report presents a rare, complete clinical recovery from CAD through an individualized Ayurvedic protocol based on doshic and dhatu imbalance assessment. The patient showed remarkable improvement, with normalization of hemolysis and restoration of vitality within 1.5 months. This outcome emphasizes Ayurveda’s potential as an integrative and holistic approach in managing complex autoimmune conditions.
