TO EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF VIDEO ASSISTED TEACHING ONKNOWLEDGE REGARDING ADOLESCENT FRIENDLY HEALTH CLINICSERVICES AND THEIR UTILIZATION AMONG GIRLS STUDYING ATSELECTED HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, BENGALURU RURAL DISTRICT

ABSTRACT
India has the largest population of adolescents in the world being home to 243million individuals aged 10-19 years. Adolescents are at risk of Iron deficiency anemiadue to accelerated increase in requirements of iron, poor dietary intake of iron, high rateof infection and worm infestation as well as the social norm of early marriage andteenage pregnancy. But most of the adolescents are not comfortable with the servicesprovided at regular health settings due to lack of privacy, support and guidance. Hencethe focus of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Video assisted teaching onknowledge regarding adolescent friendly health clinic services and their utilizationamong adolescent girls at selected higher secondary school, Bengaluru rural district, Karnataka.
